Sri Vadapathira Kaliamman Temple began in 1830 with a female devotee placing a picture of Amman under a banyan tree. Officially established in 1935 by Mr. Rengasamy Mooriyar, the temple has since expanded to include additional deities and undergone multiple renovations. Key consecration ceremonies were held in 1975, 1984, 2005, and 2016. The temple also features a popular Shirdi Sai Baba shrine.
